Through the development of various advanced technologies, E Ink strives to offer groundbreaking products, exceptional user experiences, and promote positive environmental impact. Every level of management places utmost importance on occupational safety and health, environmental protection, climate change, water resources, waste management, and energy consumption.
E Ink pledges to proactively establish relevant strategies, management objectives, and quantifiable performance indicators. Through appropriate systems, methods, and tools, E Ink ensures effective management, proposes solutions, and implements them into the daily operations and controls of its production and business facilities. E Ink further requires all workers (including employees and contractors) across its own operations and workplaces, as well as suppliers, external providers, partners, and other relevant external stakeholders to jointly comply with these commitments to achieve important goals related to green production and waste reduction, climate change mitigation and adaptation, safe operations and the well-being of workers, as well as energy efficiency and innovation. These efforts aim at achieve sustainable operations and engage in communication and dialogue with stakeholders for mutual understanding and collaboration.
- Leadership and Governance:
The Board of Directors serves as the highest governing body, while the leadership and management levels are responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations, adhering to the company requirements, and implementing this policy.
- Compliance with Regulations:
To comply with domestic and international regulations, standards, agreements, and initiatives related to environmental, occupational health and safety, and green products. This includes incorporating considerations such as regulatory compliance, environmental impact, social responsibility, and corporate governance into decision-making before initiating new projects, investments, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Promoting Environmental Friendliness and Personnel Safety and Health:
To establish and effectively maintain an environmental, occupational health and safety management system, and monitor domestic and international trends in environmental, occupational health and safety management, including carbon reduction technologies. By identifying risks and seizing opportunities, E Ink continuously strives to promote green manufacturing and safe production, actively engaging in waste reduction, water conservation, pollution control, energy efficiency, hazard prevention, and risk management to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses and mitigate climate change. The development of new processes and the adoption of new equipment and materials undergo assessment in terms of safety, health, environmental protection, and energy considerations to minimize associated risks, impacts, and resource consumption.
- Reducing Environmental Impact throughout the Product Lifecycle:
To engage in communication and collaboration with stakeholders while introducing and developing environmentally friendly technologies, thereby promoting product and service upgrades to minimize environmental impacts across the entire product lifecycle, including research and development, procurement, manufacturing operations, logistics and distribution, product use, and disposal
- Active Participation and Promoting Internal and External Communication and Collaboration:
To provide appropriate and necessary education and training, facilitate communication and interactive consultations among stakeholders or worker representatives. E Ink ensure due-diligent investigations to deepen the awareness, responsibility, and accountability of workers (including employees and contractors), as well as suppliers, external providers, partners, and other relevant external stakeholders regarding environmental, occupational health, and energy matters. E Ink encourages active participation in industry associations, organizational initiatives, and policy advocacy to enhance the development and implementation of related policies.
- Continuous Improvement:
To ensure the effectiveness of environmental, occupational health, and safety management, various performance indicators are used. Through a process of risk identification, risk prioritization, and prioritized improvement action plans, process optimization is carried out. This involves enhancing the efficiency of raw material, water resource, and energy utilization, reducing the environmental impact of waste, mitigating occupational health and safety risks, and moving toward climate neutrality and sustainable operations.
