Succession Planning for Key Management

Key management of the Company refers to managers at the director level and above (including CEO), who are responsible for overseeing major functional areas and ensuring business performance. In addition to possessing professional expertise, key management members are expected to embrace the Company’s core values, accountability, teamwork, innovation, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Beyond job assignments and overseas postings, our succession planning also includes:

1. One-on-One Coaching and Leadership Forums

Through a one-on-one coaching program for directors, senior managers share their experience and provide guidance to potential successors. Additionally, the annual Global Leader Summit and regular Senior Management Meetings further strengthen alignment with the Company’s business philosophy and strategic direction, enabling the selection of high-potential leaders as part of the succession pipeline.

2. Advanced Development Programs

High-potential management talents are given opportunities to participate in programs such as the Stanford LEAD Program, aimed at cultivating senior executives with global operational insight and strategic leadership capabilities.

Recent succession achievements include:

1. Roger Chou joined E Ink in June 2014. He has held leadership roles in Strategic Procurement, Supply Chain Management, and as General Manager of TOC. In 2025, he was promoted to Associate Vice President of the IoT BU.

2. JM Hung joined E Ink in November 2009 and has led ESI Product Development, System Solution Development, and the Product Center. In 2024, he was promoted to Vice President of the Global Business Center.

3. Jason Jan joined E Ink in July 2006, leading FPL development in Linkou. He was promoted to Associate Vice President of FPL Development in 2020, appointed General Manager of subsidiary YHMI in 2023, and later that year promoted to Senior Associate Vice President of Linkou FPL Development.

To align with organizational growth and business expansion, the Company continues to recruit external senior executives while also cultivating high-potential managers at all levels. We strengthen on-the-job coaching and cross-cultural communication skills, provide job rotation and international assignment opportunities, and strategically select versatile leaders to build the next generation of management teams.

To support the pipeline of high-potential leaders, we launched the Talent Development Program in Taiwan in 2022, and have successfully completed two cohorts to date. The program begins by identifying supervisors from the talent pool who demonstrate both the willingness to grow and leadership potential. Through a comprehensive development journey—including management competency assessments, individual and group development plans, and mentoring sessions—we help reserve managers broaden their management perspective and enhance cross-functional collaboration skills. Throughout the program, participants not only benefit from systematic training but also showcase their learning outcomes at the final presentation, aligning their growth with the Company’s strategic development.

Building on these achievements, starting in 2025 the program has been expanded to our global sites, creating a sustainable global talent pool for E Ink. This ensures that the Company continues to develop professionals with both expertise and leadership capabilities, thereby sustaining our momentum for innovation and steady growth.
